Umjikelezo wokuqandisa wezinyathelo waqala ukusetshenziswa emikhiqizweni yegesi yemvelo encibilikisiwe ngo-1939. Wafakwa eCleveland e-United States, kusetshenziswa i-NH3 ne-C2H4 njengeziqandisi zesigaba sokuqala nesesibili.
Esigabeni sokuqala, i-propane noma i-Freon isetshenziswa njengesiqandisi. Igesi yemvelo ehlanziwe ipholiswa ku- – 35 ~ – 40 ℃ ku-propane noma ku-Freon cooler. Ngemva kokuhlukanisa ama-hydrocarbon asindayo ngaphezu kwe-pentane, ingena esigabeni sesibili sokupholisa. Igesi ye-propane ephuma ku-propane cooler icindezelwa yi-compressor, iphinde incibilikiswe ngemva kokupholisa yi-water cooler, bese iphinda isetshenziswe ku-propane cooler.
Esigabeni sesibili, i-ethane noma i-ethylene isetshenziswa njengesiqandisi, bese igesi yemvelo ipholiswa ibe ngu-90 ~ – 100 ℃ esigabeni sesibili bese ifakwa uketshezi esigabeni sesithathu ukuze iphole. Ngemva kokucindezela nokupholisa ngamanzi, igesi ephuma ku-ethane noma ku-ethylene cooler iyapholiswa bese ifakwa uketshezi ku-propane cooler bese iphinda isetshenziswe ku-ethane noma ku-ethylene cooler.
Esigabeni sesithathu, i-methane isetshenziswa njengesiqandisi. Igesi yemvelo encibilikisiwe ipholiswa ngaphansi kuka -150 ~ -160 ℃ esiqandisini se-methane, bese incishiswa nge-valve ye-throttle. Ngemva kokuba izinga lokushisa lehle laya ku -162 ℃, iphonswa ethangini lokugcina i-LNG. Igesi ephuma esiqandisini se-methane iyacindezelwa bese ipholiswa ngamanzi, ipholiswe esiqandisini se-propane, incishiswe esiqandisini se-ethane noma se-ethylene, bese iphinda isetshenziswe esiqandisini se-methane.
Umjikelezo wokuqandisa wesinyathelo sakudala uhlanganisa izigaba eziningana zokupholisa ezizimele nezixhumene. Njengoba i-refrigerant ivame ukucindezelwa yi-compressor enezigaba eziningi, esigabeni ngasinye sokupholisa, i-refrigerant inganyamalala ngaphansi kwezingcindezi eziningana futhi ihlukaniswe ngamazinga okushisa amaningana ukuze ipholise igesi yemvelo, kanti i-refrigerant enyamalala ngaphansi kwengcindezi ngayinye ingena esigabeni se-compressor esifanele sokucindezela. Esigabeni ngasinye sokupholisa, i-refrigerant kuphela ehlukile, futhi inqubo yokusebenza iyafana ngokuyisisekelo.
